Summit Concrete Helps the Community

Look at this incredible work Summit Concrete did for Marian Hope Center!!…. We are on our way…the playground is delivered and we are waiting for the company to come install. After that, we have to let the concrete set for a month before the padding can be put on.

We had a great meeting last night with the General Manager and Director of Marketing for theNew Independence Events Center. They have chose Marian Hope Center as an IndependenceNon-Profit group to support! We will be doing some fund raising events in that beautiful new facility – very exciting news for Marian Hope Center!!

Thank you again to everyone for your continued support!!

Summit Concrete Project in "Tilt-Up Today"

The following article from TCA's magazine, "Tilt-Up Today" highlighted one of Summit Concretes more prestigious builds.

Zona Rosa Building C

As an owner of another Tilt-Up building, the owner/developer for this project didn't hesitate to select Tilt-Up again for their office/retail building in Kansas City's Zona Rosa development.

Tilt-Up not only allowed for the incorporation of the aesthetic details the company desired, but also enabled a much speedier construction schedule - a mere seven weeks elapsed between starting the footings and erecting the panels.

Special Z-shaped column laps thoughtfully conceal panel joints and maintain the coursing of the cast-in thin-brick veneer on the building's facade.

The brick detailing mingles with cast stone, metal panels, EIFS and direct-applied synthetic stucco to create an eye-catching blend of textures.

Circular elements - in the form of two 6-foot-radius, multi-plane, stepped thin-brick arches at the building's southwest corner - add further architectural interest and help underscore the aesthetic and structural possibilities of Tilt-Up.

ARTICLE (TCA, Tilt-Up Today, Vol. 17 No. 1 2009, p.27):

Zona Rosa Building C: 67,703-square-foot office building in Kansas City, MO. Submitted by Summit Concrete of Lee's Summit, MO. Other TCA member involvement: Needham & Associates. Products for this project supplied by: Meadow Burke Products and Scott System.
