Henry County Chose Summit Concrete

Summit Concrete has been awarded a contract for the tilt-up panels for the Henry County Detention Center and Sheriff’s Office. HMN Architects designed the Detention Center (see inset) to be constructed with precast panels and the Sheriff’s Office portion with conventional steel framing and brick veneer.


Summit Concrete met with representatives of HMN Architects and Henry County’s Construction Manager, Septagon, and proposed the use of architectural site-cast tilt-up as an alternative to precast. Summit’s proposal was so competitive that Septagon not only awarded the Detention panels as tilt-up, but also converted the Sheriff’s offices to tilt-up with thin brick!
